Holy Trinity Lutheran Church has a Facebook page where we occasionally post photos and other announcements. We invite you to like our page. Also, we have a listing under churches on Yelp and our web site (www.holytrin.org) is hosted through Google. We invite you to review these sites and let Pastor Besel know if something needs to be updated or changed. We also invite you to leave a review if you believe that is appropriate.
LIFE THOUGHTS IN THE CHURCH
Hearts struggle and suffer when Satan suggests death to them (Mark 1:32). Often they feel “[m]y way is hidden from the Lord” and believe “my right is disregarded by my God” (Isaiah 40:27). With empathy like Apostle Paul (1 Corinthians 9:19-22), imitating Lord Jesus, we have been healed to intercede. We can approach and assist knowing that His wings of forgiveness and everlasting resurrection (Isaiah 40:28-31) will likewise lift them from their afflictions. Loving God, include us in Your servanthood that increases strength to the powerless. Amen. (Epiphany V)
LIFE QUOTES “[I]f it is wrong to kill a human fetus, it is wrong because this interrupts the vocation of that fetus to praise God and enjoy Him forever, a vocation given it by God Himself in and with the gift of existence, a vocation we may not override for purposes of our own without offending against the rights of God.” Douglas Farrow, author of Desiring a Better Country: Forays in Political Theology – If you wish to support this ministry, you can through their web site: www.lutheransforlife.org
When you are having a bad day, just remember:
I am the salt of the earth! (Matthew 5:13)
I am the light of the world! (Matthew 5:14)
I am God’s child! (John 1:12, Romans 8:14-16, 1 John 3:3)
I am Christ’s personal witness! (Acts 1:8)
I am God’s temple! (1 Corinthians 3:16)
I am a member of Christ’s body! (1 Corinthians 12:27)
I am God’s co-worker! (1 Corinthians 3:9, 2 Corinthians 6:1)
I am a saint! (Ephesians 1:1)
I am God’s workmanship! (Ephesians 2:10)
I am a citizen of heaven! (Ephesians 2:6,
Philippians 3:20)
I am born of God, and the evil one cannot touch me! (1 John 5:18)
