VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL  Many of the volunteer roles have been filled for VBS but there are still areas where we need help! Check the Narthex board for Crew Leader sign ups or speak to Cameron if you would like to help at cameron@holytrin.org.

LIFE QUOTES   “Children, vulnerable and dependent, desperately need security, and it has ever been a duty and a joy of fatherhood to offer it. Being a father requires strength … and more than a little courage … to persevere, to fight discouragement, and to keep working for the family … With God’s grace, fathers find the patience to teach, the fortitude to provide, the compassion to comfort, and the mercy to forgive. All of this is to say that they find the strength to love their wives and children selflessly … Let us … express our thanks and affection to our fathers, whether we can do so in person or in prayer.” President Ronald Reagan, Father’s Day 1988 – If you wish to support Lutherans for Life, you can through their web site www.lutheransforlife.org

OUR NEIGHBORS NEED SOME HELP   Samaritan Shop in Rogers is doing a big push this summer for volunteers to help sort and organize donations to be sold to fund several programs we have to feed the hurting and hungry in NWA. We can’t do this without the help of those ready to serve. We would love to have families, individuals and groups to come on mission right here in our community this summer whether it be one day or several weeks. We are hoping you can help us with volunteer recruitment.  If you can help, please contact  Karen VanScoy  kvanscoy@samcc.org

SUMMER MIX YOUTH ACTIVITES:

LIFE THOUGHTS IN CHURCH  Being Gospel-motivated voices for life gets frustrating when we don’t immediately see changed hearts and saved lives. But fathers both know and show that heroes are built over time, not born in a moment. We can take courage from God Himself patiently planting His own kingdom like seeds (Mark 4:26-28) and carefully cultivating it like saplings (Ezekiel 17:22-24). Boys become men, and stems will yield. This Gospel—for us too!—renews our life-affirming enthusiasm and routines. Ancient of Days, teach us to walk and talk and work by faith and not by sight. Amen.

UPDATE ON PICTURE DIRECTORY:

We are now progressing toward an updated roster.  These are the fields we will be using and need you to make sure you have the information you want in the directory:

Last Name; Adult First Names/last name if different from household name; Children’s First Name and Last Name if different than parent; Street Address; City; State; Zip; Email Address (all lower case); Phone Number (with area code); Extra Phone Number (with area code).

PLEASE, check the previous directory to see if you need any changes and if you do, let Elaine or Krista in the office know what you need in the book.

Thank you so much for being here for your picture.  Our directory will be so nice and I know you will enjoy learning who you see every Sunday.  Holy Trinity is not so large that you should NOT know everyone who worships with us weekly.  Having phone numbers and email addresses has been such a great help for me to be able to contact anyone I need to and I know others use them often, as well.

Thank you to Cameron, Elaine Taylor, and Krista Malone in the office.  They have been valuable in the success of our directory.

Shirley Bernthal has been such a great partner in the Fellowship Teamwork for everything we do to make your church your home away from home.  I can’t thank her enough!
