TRAINING OUR CHILDREN  Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it. (Proverbs 22:6)  We can all agree teaching children about the love of Christ and the salvation we have through him is very important. We are in need of a couple of teachers to share the love of Jesus to the lower (K-2nd) and upper (3rd-5th) element-ary Sunday School classes. If you would like to learn more, there is a sign up sheet in the narthex next to an example of the lessons we use. The lessons are very straight forward and easy to navigate. If you have any questions contact cameron@holytrin.org or talk to the Education Team.

“Love is an act of endless forgiveness.”             - Jean Vanier

SPRING WORK WEEKEND  The Lutheran Camp on Petit Jean is looking for volunteers for a spring work weekend, March 23-24.  Help is needed to build, dig, organize, paint, plant, prune, rake, repair, saw, scrub, stack, stain, sweep, wash, and a whole lot more.  Meals and lodging free to volunteers?  Please call 501-652-6304 if you can help.

LIFE QUOTES  “My heart goes out to those struggling with guilt from the secret sin of abortion—a burden carried by millions. These women and men should not be deprived of the forgiveness Jesus earned for them when they have a repentant heart. We need to speak up and let them know they can have the forgiveness Jesus bought for them through His life, death, and resurrection.” Virginia Flo, Lutherans For Life Regional Director of Minnesota –– If you wish to support Lutherans for Life, you can through their web site: www.lutheransforlife.org

“If you want to hear God's voice clearly and you are uncertain, then remain in His presence until He changes that uncertainty. Often, much can happen during this waiting for the Lord. Sometimes, He changes pride into humility, doubt into faith and peace.”       -- Corrie Ten Boom

LIFE THOUGHTS IN THE CHURCH

“[Y]ou were dead in trespasses and sins…like the rest of mankind” (Ephesians 2:1, 3b). One’s own capacities or activities don’t give human life its value (Ephesians 2:9). The love of God in Christ does that, and it does so universally and infinitely (John 3:16). The very heart of the Gospel holds human life precious, even when impaired by infection or immaturity (Numbers 21:8). We rest refreshed in this grace!  Gracious God, cause fountains of Your grace to flow through us. Amen. (Lent IV)

TO THINK ABOUT

“We must develop and maintain the capacity to forgive.  He who is devoid of the power to forgive is devoid of the power to love.  There is some good in the worst of us and some evil in the best of us.  When we discover this, we are less prone to hate our enemies.”

                 -- Martin Luther King, Jr.
