LIFE THOUGHTS IN THE CHURCH

Some among us seek to sidestep suffering by being ashamed of Jesus’ words (Mark 8:32, 38) about life issues. But sharing in His cross has a hopeful purpose because it leads to eternal life (Mark 8:31, 35). Christ prevails with grace for those who are weak (Romans 5:6). So we rejoice even in our sorrows (Romans 5:3-5) and join others in theirs.   Dear Christ, take up our crosses that we may ease the burdens of the weak. Amen.  (Lent II)

SAVING GRACE is a Christ-centered home in Northwest Arkansas offering hope and transformation to young women lacking critical supports.  We provide relationships, skills, and resources to empower generational change.   We are committed to bringing about lifelong change that will not only impact the life of the young woman who calls Saving Grace “home,” but instill in her the things she needs to create a “home” for her own family someday.  We are changing lives for generations to come . . . and we don’t take the responsibility lightly!

LIFE QUOTES  “So when we see the embryo … in that petri dish—vulnerable, helpless, and destined for destruction—we are compelled to speak and defend and help. And not because it is the right thing to do or the moral thing to do, but because it is the Christ thing to do. Our God became incarnate as an embryo, giving value to all embryos.” Rev. Dr. James I. Lamb, former executive director of Lutherans For Life. If you wish to support Lutherans for Life, you can through their web site: www.lutheransforlife.org
