Rev. Gordon Besel (pronounced: Basil) was born and raised in Ft. Collins, Colorado where he became an Eagle Scout in Troop 96 before graduating from Poudre High School in 1971. After attending college in Winfield, Kansas and Ft. Wayne, Indiana, he received a Master of Divinity degree and graduated from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, Missouri in 1979. He served a dual parish (Cordova and Goehner, Nebraska) from 1979 – 1986. During that time, he also earned a Master of Education degree from Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska. He then served as the Pastor of St. Paul Lutheran Church and School in Omaha, Nebraska from 1986 – 1996. He has served as the Pastor of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Rogers from March, 1996. Gordon has been married to his wife Shirley for more than 35 years. They have three grown children, Angie, Krista and Brian. Gordon currently serves as the chairman of the education committee for the Rogers-Lowell Chamber of Commerce. Pastor Besel retires as the pastor of Holy Trinity on October 21, 2018.
Cameron graduated from Concordia University in Irvine California with a degree in Christian Education Leadership in 2007. He received his certification as a Director of Christian Education after a year of internship at Holy Trinity and took the call extended to him by the same church which brings us to now!
