It starts with a shoebox..
Christmas is a wonderful time of family, friends, gifts, and of course, Jesus; the greatest gift. In other countries however, some do not have a Christmas. This is where Operation Christmas Child comes in. With the help of churches across the world, they send Christmas presents to kids who normally wouldn't get one along with the message of baby Jesus and His mission to save us all.
At Holy Trinity we help this goal by putting some of those presents together each year. You can start any time by looking for good deals on items that are needed (see below for list). As we draw near the drop off date you will find a selection of boxes in the narthex along with a “how to pack” page. Take that and as many boxes as you like to make as many gifts as you like. Make sure to pick if it will be for a girl or boy and from what age group, mark that on the given slip, and tape it took the box.
Please include $9 to pay for shipping or put it in the offering and mark it Operation Christmas Child or OCC for short. Then drop if off at church and we will deliver all of them!
